Information
There are endless activities to do in the Columbia River Gorge, there
is something for everyone. We have put together a list of links to get
you started. However once you get here be sure to ask us for recommendations,
as there is always something new...
Parks & Scenic Areas
Columbia Gorge National
Scenic Area - visit the US Forest Service website for information
on the area and current trail conditions, as well as any road closures
within National Forest Parks.
Check out some of the amazing waterfalls just minutes from Carson Ridge
Luxury Cabins in the Gifford
Pinchot National Forest.
Beacon
Rock State Park - Enjoy outstanding panoramic views of the Columbia
River Gorge from Beacon Rock, the core of an ancient volcano. "Beacon
Rock" was originally named by Lewis and Clark on their expedition
to the Pacific Ocean on October 31, 1805.
Mount St. Helens National
Volcanic Monument - You take the short drive through the Gifford
Pinchot National Forest to one of the viewing platforms of Mt St Helens.
Over the past four years, we have been privileged to witness
the creation of a 1,300 foot tall lava dome within the existing crater!
Multnomah Falls is the
second-tallest year-round waterfall in the nation. The water of the
Falls drops 620 feet from its origin on Larch Mountain. Unusually cold
weather can freeze the plummeting water into a majestic icesicle.
