Surprise Snow over the weekend!

We thought we were in for one to three inches of snow, but it turned out to be over two feet! It's raining now, but still trying to snow.  We see if it melts away or if we end up getting even more snow.

Welcome to our first Blog entry!

Happy New year to all of you from the Columbia River Gorge!

There has been quite a lot of snow up in the mountains this winter with more on the way. We got about 8 inches of snow, but it didn't stick around too long.  If you are looking for a great place to cross country skiing there's groomed trails just 20 minutes away up in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. You may even get a glimpse of Mt. Saint Helens.

Our workers (Jim and Dan) are busy adding a couple feet to the Elk Cove cabin, the Bear's Den Cabin, and the Green Leaf Cabin.  The King log beds are now set back in a cove, which makes for an even more romantic space.

Don't forget about our February Romance special... If you stay two nights or more we will add a extra touch of romance to your cabin. Enjoy a single rose, a box of delicious Truffles, and a bottle of sparkling cider.  We also have the 3rd night free special till the end of February.
