White Water Rafting in Washington Is a Splash in the Face
White water rafting in Washington is incredible! What we have here in the Columbia River Gorge is a real-life water park. And our cabins in Washington state are the perfect headquarters from which to enjoy the thrills and splashes of whitewater rafting.
We asked a recent guest – a whitewater first-timer – what she thought of her experience. “I didn’t know what to expect,” she said. “But it was exhilarating and exciting. I couldn’t stop smiling!”
She’s still grinning.
One thing we have here in the Columbia River Gorge/Hood River area is plenty of water. Hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of streams and rivers flow into the Columbia, making it the fourth-largest river in the US. The Columbia drain basin is the size of France, capturing rainwater and snow runoff from seven states.
With all those tributaries busily transporting our melting winter snow, no wonder white-water rafting is so popular and so much fun here. Especially when you end your day with a soothing massage in the privacy of our Washington luxury cabins.
Our friends at Zoller’s Outdoor Odysseys always get high praise from their customers. This summer they’ve added a new run called Upper Gorge, which they’ll offer through September as long as there’s enough water. They describe Upper Gorge as “the sports car ride” of whitewater rafting. Sounds like fun to us!
You get a discount when you book rafting along with your stay here at our Washington luxury cabins. Or you can just book our Whitewater Adventure Package. You can always add on more nights (and we’re pretty sure you’ll want to, because there’s so much to do here in the Columbia River Gorge in our Inn near Hood River).
Of course space on the rafts fills up quickly during the summer, so now’s the time to get your ride confirmed. Give us a call at 509.427.7777 or just Book Online.
