Create a Peaceful Mind
Atisha, a Buddhist teacher from the first century, said that the greatest goodness is a peaceful mind. We agree. Without a peaceful mind, one cannot know oneself, and without knowing oneself, one cannot know others.
We’re offering a special Personal Retreat at our Hood River Cabins throughout the month of January. First and foremost, we create a quiet place. With the quiet outside, it will be easier to hear the noise that roars within (worries, hopes, anticipations, fears…). Once you hear that chatter, you can learn to quell it.
Our luxury cabins are situated on three beautiful acres near the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. It’s a lovely place for guests to take long, relaxing walks or to sit and reflect. There are no inherent distractions here, just natural beauty.
In addition to providing a tranquil setting, the Personal Retreat includes a meeting with a Business and Life Coach. Sit down with her and discuss your priorities for the present and the future. She’ll guide you through a 2010 Reflection Worksheet and a 2011 Goal Planning Worksheet, and will show you how to create a realistic budget. Once you know where you are and where you want to go, some of the voices of worry and fear in your mind will fade.
Start 2011 with a renewed commitment to take care of yourself. Our Personal Retreat in January will help bring balance, clarity, and contentment into your life.
This Personal Retreat includes special rates at Hood River Cabins, offered only during the month of January. Leave the noise of the city behind, be it Seattle, Eugene, or nearby Portland.
