Gardening Retreat at Columbia River Gorge Cabins
Sink your hands into our community garden the weekend of April 15-17, 2011.
To sink hands in rich soil, work in fertilizer, and water seedlings – these are the dreams of gardeners. For some folks, gardening is the most relaxing and rewarding activity there is. If that sounds like you, consider participating in our How Our Community Garden Grows weekend, April 15 – 17, 2011.
Our goal is to foster community by working side by side in the gardens of our Columbia River Gorge Cabins. We”ll all share what we know, learn from each other, laugh and have fun as we take steps towards feeding the community of our Carson Ridge Cabins. Novice and experienced gardeners are both welcome – as is anyone willing to roll up their sleeves and put their hands in the dirt.
Joining us will be an expert bee-keeper, an organic farmer, and a compost expert, all of whom will offer advise and suggestions as needed. We expect the weekend to be entertaining, educational, and satisfying for all involved.
Future guests and members of the community will benefit from our labor. Perhaps you’ll come back this summer to feast on food you helped to grow. We hope so.
Participants will receive discounted rates on Carson Ridge Columbia River Gorge Cabins the weekend of April 15 – 17, 2011. A few surprise perks will be offered, as well. Additional information about the How Our Community Garden Grows weekend is available at Carson Ridge Cabins Retreats.
