Community Garden, Community Dinners
We’re bringing together community as many ways as we can here at our Hood River Lodging. One of the best ways we’ve found to do that is through food: growing food and eating food. With that in mind, we invite you to join our monthly community dinners, and to participate in our “How Our Community Garden Grows” weekend.
How Our Community Garden Grows
April 15, 16, 17, 2011
First let’s talk about growing food, since there would be little at our tables without gardens. We enjoy growing our own food here at our Columbia Gorge Cabins, and including it in the meals we offer our guests. We also know that many of our guests live in the city, and have no gardens of their own.
Come help us plant seeds, stake plants, fertilize and water on April 15, 16, and 17, 2011. Joining us will be an organic farmer, a compost specialist, and a bee-keeper, all of whom will share their wisdom and experience.
To thank you for your help, we’re reducing our cabin rates for participating gardeners. Please see our Columbia Gorge Events page for more details.
