Snow is falling here at our Hood River bed and breakfast. Our vacation cabins are blanketed in their winter whites – warm and inviting within. It’s a true winter wonderland here overlooking the Columbia River Gorge, just 45 minutes east of Portland. Wouldn’t you rather be here?
Our Off-Season Winter Special is up and running through February 28, 2011. Tear yourself away from your routine for three nights and receive either a complimentary in-cabin couple’s massage or $100 off your third night. Spend your days exploring wineries along the Columbia River Gorge, hiking, skiing, or relaxing in the cabin. At night, star-gazing will fill you with wonder and awe.

The ski season is now open at the Meadows on Mount Hood, just one hour south of our Columbia River lodging. It’s a bit early yet for the Old Man Pass Ski Trails or Tubing Hill in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, 45 minutes north of here, but it won’t be long before these are also blanketed in snow. It’s time to rummage through the attic, garage or basement and find snow gear, from boots to ski wax. It’s also time to think about scheduling time away from the city, be it Portland, Seattle, or Eugene.
