Windsurfing the Gorge – The wind whips through your hair.  The spray from the fresh, crisp water showers over your forearms as you maneuver the boom.  The rough, gritty board feels sturdy and sure under your feet.  You are one with the waves.  You are in tune with the wind.  You, my friend, are wind surfing! OK, so that might be just a bit of a stretch if you have never wind surfed before.  But why let that stop you?  Go with the dream and do it!  We can point you in the right direction to find the perfect instructor and experience while staying here in the Gorge.  There are many vendors to choose from on the shoreline of the world renown Hood River – all waiting to teach you how to wind surf. You can expect to actually be on the water the very first day!  Will you be performing duck tacks, villy skipper and the reverse duck jibe?  Probably not.  But you will be on the water, in the drink and back up on your board more times than you can possibly imagine. You will go back to your regular life with stories of “ya, I wind surfed the Columbia this last weekend!” Just give us a call at Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins and let us get you in touch with an adventure of a lifetime.  You won’t regret it!   Cover photo credit: Karl Weatherly, Getty Images
